••• Left: Jack Hanley Gallery is hosting a reception for the opening of Eleanor Moreton’s “The Ladies of Shalott.” (Friday)

••• For Franklin Street Family Day, Goat on a Boat Puppet Theater will perform “Little Red Riding Hood” for free at R 20th Century, where an exhibit of Renate Müller’s toys is currently up. Burton Wells Photographers will be at Bu and the Duck, taking free vintage portraits. Playgarden is allowing free playground access 3–4:30 p.m. Fashion line Rogan will have a pop-up shop; Steven Alan and Bu and the Duck are having sales. (Saturday)

••• Two for the kids at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center. On Saturday, Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia is performing a production based on Leo Lionni’s children’s books, Swimmy, Inch by Inch, and Frederick. Sunday brings “Junie B. Jones.”

••• New Amsterdam Market’s sub-theme this week is coffee, cocoa, and citrus. (Sunday)
