In the News: Park51 Not Moving

••• “The backers of the Ground Zero mosque shot down a report Sunday that Saudi King Abdullah would move the controversial development to the closed St. Vincent’s Hospital in Greenwich Village. ‘No one has contacted me or my husband about it,” said Daisy Khan, who has been an adviser on the project. She and her husband, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, are affiliated with the planned construction of a $100 million Park Place prayer space and community center two blocks north of Ground Zero. ‘I remain committed to the idea of the creation of a multifaith community center in lower Manhattan,’ the imam said.” (New York Daily News)

••• Ever wondered what Real Pilates maven Alycea Ungaro has in her fridge? Mine smells like the skanky-in-a-good-way cheese that my better other half bought for Christmas. Just so you know. (Well + Good)

••• The new beer-centric restaurant on Front Street, Keg no. 299, is sort of a serve-yourself situation: “Patrons don’t quite have free reign over the taps. A bartender has to swipe a card to start drinkers off, and then a small digital screen embedded in the concrete counter ticks off the number of ounces they’ve poured.” (DNAinfo)

••• Tasting Table liked Compose, but the blurb feels more like a description than a review—i.e., can’t tell if anyone actually ate there….
