••• There’s a vendor outside the Citigroup building on Greenwich selling New Year’s Eve party favors (hats, glasses, noisemakers). Not sure how long he’ll be there.
••• Right in time for your New Year’s resolution: Birdbath is now selling smaller cookies for $1.
••• TD Bank has begun charging non-accountholders a 6% fee to use its coin-counting machine. Still, I did get $320 (which made me feel like a bit of a schmuck when, 20 minutes later, I told a homeless guy that no, I did not have any change).
••• From Manhattan Children’s Theatre: “The New York Times says we ‘deserve praise’ for this show that ‘evokes a 7 year old’s imagination’ and ‘offers satirical pleasures for parents,’ and giggling audiences have agreed. So before we say goodbye to Lula and the gang, we’re offering up $10 tickets to say goodbye to 2010. Just use code ‘NEWYEAR’ when ordering to get half-price tickets through this Sunday, January 2nd.”
