••• Soho Photo will host a reception for its new exhibit of work by Norman H. Gershman, “Besa: Muslims Who Saved Jews During World War II,” as well as for a solo show by Sandi Daniel. (Tuesday)
••• White Zombie bassist Sean Yseult drops by Barnes & Noble Tribeca to read from her new book, I’m in the Band. (Wednesday)
••• The fifth-annual “50 First Jokes” is at 92YTribeca on Wednesday: “Fifty of the world’s funniest comedians gather for one night to debut the very first new joke they’ve written for 2011 in an atmosphere of friendly competition.”
••• Comedian Patton Oswalt reads from his new book, Zombie Spaceship Wasteland, at Borders Wall Street on Thursday. What were the odds of the word “zombie” showing up twice in this post?
••• Suzanne Corso, author of Brooklyn Story—and zombie advertiser on Tribeca Citizen!—will be at Barnes & Noble Tribeca. (Thursday)
••• Bucky Pizzarelli and Howard Alden are one of three duos on the “Return of Highlights in Jazz: Dynamic Duos” program at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center. (Thursday)
