••• Before we get to the rumors, take a moment to admire the Palm Tribeca, once again (mostly) scaffolding-free!
••• Rumor #1: I heard from someone who heard it from someone at Whole Foods Tribeca that the second floor will be home to a wellness center. There will still be seating for diners. No word back yet from Whole Foods about this.
••• Rumor #2: I heard from someone who heard it from an undisclosed source—so a grain of salt is in order—that a Korean restaurant will be coming to the old Chanterelle space at Hudson and Harrison.
••• Rumor #3: I heard from someone who heard it from an undisclosed source—more salt!—that Capucine on Harrison is closing, but they say it’s not true. Which is super! And a good reminder that rumors are fun to chew on but you shouldn’t swallow them.
••• Paper & String, which I don’t entirely understand the mission of but it sure looks nice, is offering a deal on art by self-taught Tribeca artist Malcah Zeldis: $560 for any of the 12″ x 16″ paintings, down from $800.
••• From Torly Kid: “You can get an additional 15% off already-reduced sale items by mentioning this post. Winter sale goes through Jan. 15.”
••• I was adding some new 92YTribeca items to the calendar* today, and some of you may be interested in the Newsies sing-along on Jan. 15. *Remember: You can always find the calendar link in the left-hand column, under “About Tribeca Citizen” and “Advertising.”

I was actually upstairs in the WF cafe this afternoon and there is a wall up in front of what used to be the coffee bar with signage that clearly states that a wellness center is what’s “coming soon” to that space.
The upstairs at WF is looking a bit sad and strange. But it’s totally busy at lunch time, so I hope they don’t take away tables there!
The sign def says ‘wellness center’ but I have no idea what that actually means.
Meanwhile the coffee shop is now hiding where the flowers used to be, just before the elevators
