Usually when you see a Tribeca apartment in a shelter magazine, it tends to be a dramatic, soaring space—which may be why I found the Elle Décor article about fabric designer Kazumi Yoshida’s place so appealing. Don’t get me wrong: The apartment would do nicely. But it’s the use of color and pattern that I really loved, more than the bones. The article isn’t online (yet?), so I went to Barnes & Noble, shelled out $5.99 to a remarkably crabby salesclerk, and wielded my untrusty scanner. If you want to see any of the pages larger, click on the thumbnails at the end. The text is by Gregory Cerio and the photographs are by Eric Piasecki; the story was produced by Anita Sarsidi.
