Yesterday, I was chatting with Steven of Steven Amedee Fine Custom Framing on N. Moore, and I asked if he knew of any Tribeca-related news. “No, I’m always here,” he said, “I never get out.” Then, after a pause, he mentioned that the old Design Within Reach space at 124 Hudson (between Beach and N. Moore) appeared to be occupied. “See ya!” I said, hightailing it over. Turns out that the Tribeca Film Festival has moved in—their old space at 13-17 Laight is being redone; it was their first day, and they’ll be there through mid-May.
