••• Received an amusing email from a reader who lives in 50 Franklin (right). “Good old 50 Franklin (luxury new construction condo) was previously denoted as a Tribeca building by StreetEasy, but has since been ‘demoted’ (?) to Chinatown. Not even a Chinatown/Tribeca/Civic Center mix, just Chinatown. It’s a shame, as folks like me who have absolutely ruled out Chinatown from their searches won’t be as likely to stumble upon this building, which to me is a gem.” I emailed StreetEasy; I’d say there’s a 15% chance I’ll hear back. Have you noticed how no one feels the need to respond anymore?
