Scott Lawin’s photo of that Lionel Richie flyer reminded photographer Ellinor Stigle of shots that she collects while scouting for locations. “I’m a sucker for typography in the street,” she says. “It dawned on me that I probably have a lot of them from Tribeca.” The breadth of fonts (and the moods they evoke) is fascinating, even though some of them have been around for decades, and possibly longer.
