Seen & Heard: Wichcraft Deal

••• From Wichcraft: “We’re turning 8! …and our birthday present is for you. On Friday, May 20, celebreight [Oof. —Ed.] with  one of our 8 classic sandwiches + a peanut butter or chocolate cream’wich [cookie] + iced tea or lemonade for $8!” The eight sandwich options are the ones that have been on the menu since the first Wichcraft opened, which I’m hoping includes the egg one pictured. In-store only; no substitutions. Photo courtesy You Know What I Could Go For.

••• The one and only Kenny Loggins will play City Winery on June 28.

••• Lolë says it’s showtique (showroom + boutique) on Hubert, next to Oly, should open by mid-June.

••• On Sunday at 2 p.m. there will be a rally on Pier 16 (underneath the FDR Drive) in support of the Seaport Museum and it’s collection of historic ships.

••• I walked by what used to be Spaghetti Western today, and the gate was up. Naturally, I peeked inside. The space had the charm of yore: the bar and wood paneling were there, and there were wooden blinds in the window. Could the new bar/restaurant planned for there be opening soon? All we know is that the new owner wants to appeal to local workers and local residents. (When will 57 Reade relinquish its grip on Reade and Broadway? It’s blocking off space it doesn’t seem to use.)
