You Are Now Entering the Fun Zone

Kids crave novelty as much as the rest of us, and now there’s somewhere new to play: The Discovery Den at FasTracKids Tribeca. Owner Ilysa Winick had been wanting to expand when the online-video company in the adjoining space serendipitously decided to move. Now FasTracKids has much larger preschool facilities and a perfect spot for birthday parties, camps, and a much-needed new playspace. “When we took the first group of parents to see it, they were overjoyed,” she says. “And I was thrilled when they said what a great feeling it has.” Indeed, there’s tons of old Tribeca charm—brick walls and high ceilings—along with arches and a medieval-style wooden door. Besides making it child-friendly, FasTracKids Tribeca brought in truckloads of fun (if these photos had a soundtrack, it would be screams of delight):

• Rock-climbing wall
• Bounce house
• Movies and cartoons projected onto the wall
• Arts and crafts
• Sports balls, teeter totters, tunnels, obstacle courses, soccer goals, balancing, and more

Party themes include dinosaurs, astronauts, princesses, sports, cheerleading, and superheroes—and the introductory rates are highly competitive. Or you can just bring your kid(s) by whenever they need to blow off steam, especially when it’s raining or crazy hot.

FasTracKids Tribeca is at 104 Reade (bet. W. Broadway and Church), 212-346-PREP; downtownenrichment.com.
