Having spent four years in the World Financial Center, kids’ boutique Aminah et les Amis (Aminah and Friends) wanted more weekend traffic, so it moved to Warren Street, in the space most recently home to Rondo, the Church Street School for Music and Art’s pop-up thrift shop. The walls have been turned a bright shade of green, and the shelves are piled high with cute stuff. As Aminah regulars know, the popcorn machine in front isn’t just for show: On Fridays, after school, you can stop by for free buttered popcorn. Normally I’d write more, but I figured that most of you with kids are familiar with the shop, and if not, you probably read about it in yesterday’s HRP Mamas email (which, I should point out, said that you can get 10% off by mentioning HRP Mamas). The store will also host events, such as the by-appointment Clare Fisher portrait sessions June 3–6; spend at least $75 by June 2 and you’ll receive a free 8″ x 10″.
Aminah et les Amis is at 72 Warren (bet. W. Broadway and Greenwich), 212-227-0117; aminahetlesamis.com.
Not so sure about that last shirt…..
