••• Tribeca now has a tattoo studio: Tribeca Ink, sharing the Tribeca Spine & Wellness Center space at 51 Warren. Right: an example of Hrukti’s handiwork.
••• Gary Graham‘s sample sale is June 16–18, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (at the store).
••• The WFC Greenmarket (at South End and Liberty) kicks off tomorrow. Vendors include Migliorelli Farm, Red Jacket Orchard, Not Just Rugelach, Meredith’s Bread, Stony Mountain Ranch, MK Orchid Farm, Newgate Farms, and Castello di Borghese Vineyard.
••• Photographer Benjamin Rosamond would like help financing his time-lapse project about the World Trade Center. If you’ve heard about Kickstarter but never actually looked at it, this could be the moment you’ve been waiting for. He needs $205 by Tuesday.
••• “Savor some of the best food in town at Dine Around Downtown—an annual tradition showcasing the finest restaurants in Lower Manhattan. Sample signature menu items for $3 to $7 while enjoying live entertainment throughout the day.” It’s June 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Most of the restaurants are in FiDi.
••• I was just at Takahachi Bakery for a macchiato and an almond-miso cookie when I noticed that the bakery is selling T-shirts to benefit Japan. I was hoping that they had nothing on the back—as is my preference—but the shirts say “From NYC” and then “Save Japan” in smaller letters. I bought one ($20, cash only) anyway, because I like how it can be read as urging folks to save Japan from New York City.
