Seen & Heard: Kids’ Deals

••• Kathleen’s Tribeca Greenmarket report: “There was some talk of eggplant at Lani’s but they weren’t sure.” She’s talking about today—I neglected to post this yesterday. “If the sun is shining, the cooing demo will be cold soups, like vichyssoise.” (I just saw a tweet that the info tent is all about garlic scapes.) “Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest is still June 18th at 11 a.m. and already has a long sign-up list. Wednesday 6/15: Another cold soup demo, I think. Also, Toigo Orchards said they will have cherries in the next week or two. Exciting!”

••• A Matter of Taste, the new documentary about Corton chef Paul Liebrandt, airs Monday at 9 p.m. on HBO. It’s entertaining; he’s a character.

••• On Groupon: $20 for $40 at Bit’z Kids.

••• On Doodledeals: A deal for Church Street School.
