Diane Lapson posted this on the Downtown Manhattan Facebook page. “It’s a juvenile peregrine falcon,” she emailed when I asked if I could post it. “I’m putting a note in our IPN newsletter because people have a tendency to let their little dogs and cats on their terrace. The New York Department of Environmental Conservation said that because there are no bands on the falcon’s feet, it’s not one of the falcons they track. They think it’s probably migrating through Manhattan.”
