17. Other neighborhoods probably have strange metal doodads all over their streets and sidewalks, but I’m not sure they have as many idiosyncratic ones. (Usually you see the same standardized ones for water or gas.) It makes me want to do rubbings of them, the way other people do of gravestones.

I swear I miss all of the good celebrity sightings because I’m always looking DOWN. I love the sidewalks and all of their irregularities.
