Temple Court is the abandoned building at 5 Beekman that you might remember from Scouting New York’s amazing photo essay last year. It has been bought by André Balasz, the hotelier behind Chateau Marmont, the Mercer, and the Standards. Before it gets turned into a hotel, its rough edges no doubt smoothed out, you can take a peek. On Sunday, Dec. 18, a company called Taste Architecture is offering a highly exclusive tour of Temple Court, with Champagne brunch. There are only a few tickets left, even though they’re $200, so buy now.
