••• Look what’s being installed today: The stoplight at Greenwich and Duane.
••• The Subway on Church (between Read and Chambers) is moving across the street to where Golden Krust used to be. Not sure what’s taking the previous location.
••• From the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center: “Starting February 16th, Franklin Place will be closed daily between Franklin and White Streets, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The small street will be used for ongoing construction activities at 371 Broadway (formerly called 5 Franklin Place), where a major renovation and 15-story addition is taking place. Conversion work began there in early 2012, beginning with deconstruction work. It will continue with superstructure work starting in June through spring 2013. Completion is expected in spring 2014.”
••• This too came from the LMCCC: “A new 13-story residential building is now under construction at 84 White Street. Located in Tribeca between Broadway and Lafayette Street, the tower is replacing the site of a former parking lot with a 32-unit tower. Contractor Onekey LLC is managing the construction, with foundations underway since early 2012. Superstructure erection will follow from April through September 2012, with façade work complete in November 2012. Tenants are expected to begin moving in approximately fall 2013.” Remember when Tribeca had parking lots?
