The Egg by Susan Lazar pop-up at 124 Hudson that I mentioned last week opened today. I got some clarification on what’s in store (so to speak): clothes from newborn to 6 years old, accessories, bedding, and books, toys, and games (including a Jade’s Toy Box mini-store). There’s no maternity wear, as there had been at Egg’s sample sales on N. Moore. The space is huge, so they’re thinking about having classes, activities, and the like. The store is open seven days a week, and they’re considering opening as early as 9:30 a.m. one day a week, since so many parents are out and about, having taken their kids to school. (They asked what I thought, and I hadn’t a clue. Any advice?)

And if the three-month pop-up goes well, they’ll consider making it permanent.
