••• The “for lease” sign at 176 Duane (formerly home to Duane) has been taken down. Know anything? Email tribecacitizen@gmail.com.
••• Lance Lappin salon is looking for hair models. What’s a haircut without a little risk-taking?
••• Steven Alan‘s annual sample sale will be online only this year (June 19–22).
••• Watch your children: R. Kelly will be at Barnes & Noble on June 28.
••• I stopped by the Mysterious Bookshop to pick up Alan Furst’s new novel, [Something about] Paris, and it comes out tomorrow. They did say that Furst would most likely be there tomorrow to sign books, but it’s not a public event, so you’ll have to happen by and get lucky if you want to meet him.
••• I also went to Salvatore Barber Shop for a haircut, and the Conrad has made it even harder to find the place. You have to turn left at the gift shop, then pass through closed doors.
••• I enjoyed reading Rotten Ralph at Tribeca Treats—by Marin Thebault, owner Rachel’s daughter—during a recent visit to the bakery.
