••• World Party is playing City Winery on Sept. 17.
••• Tribeca Greenmarket report: “Saturday, August 18, 11:30 a.m. Tribeca’s annual Clam Bake!
Piping hot mussels and clams, fresh summer vegetables, crusty bread, and free for all. Provided by Blue Moon Fish and Lebak Farm.”
••• Blue Marble Ice Cream said on Twitter that it’s opening in a month (in the All Good Things marketplace on Franklin).
••• The Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center tweeted that “Battery Bikeway construction to begin September 7” but the link that went with it was only to the LMCCC home page, and I couldn’t find more info. In any event, it’s good news.
••• This isn’t Tribeca-related at all, but I’m reading David Mitchell’s Ghostwritten (after having loved The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet and Cloud Atlas), and it’s just so jaw-droppingly good I have to mention it. If you like smart fiction, I can’t recommend any of them enough. And read Cloud Atlas before the movie comes out!
••• If you’re curious about how the four-story topper at 93 Worth (at Broadway) is coming along, look no further: A tipster sent in this photo.
