LOFT PEEPING: DESIGNER VISIONS SHOWHOUSE AT 250 WEST
A trio of Hearst magazines partnered with 250 West for Designer Visions, showhouses that were supposed to be kicked off with a big party on Oct. 30. Hurricane Sandy intervened, and my plan to go to the party (I was even invited) and scope out the public spaces as well as the showhouses fell by the wayside. I’m a little iffy on showhouses—I prefer to see real people’s homes—but those of you who just want decorating inspiration in a Tribeca setting will be in heaven. (But whatever you do, don’t look into the eyes of the face above the bed!) The first apartment (pictured above) is by Tribeca’s own David Rockwell; the second one is by Anthony Todd; and the third is by Matthew Patrick Smyth.

BASED IN TRIBECA: PURGATORY PIE PRESS
The letterpress experts at Purgatory Pie Press let Tribeca Citizen readers poke around their office at Hudson and Reade (right). “Boys like it here,” says Esther K Smith, “but think before you bring the mother of the bride.” (P.S. The deadline for datebook orders is near….)
