••• The first part of the 1 World Trade Center spire arrived by barge today. Thanks to Juan for the photo! “Quite an impressive arrival with a few tugboats doing a bunch of maneuvers to approach the pier!” he said. UPDATE: Lynn Ellsworth sent over video of the barge. It’s at the end of this post.
••• Marc Forgione “launched a T-shirt line that will benefit the Island Harvest Food Bank on Long Island”—where Forgione grew up—”and their continued efforts to help those affected by Sandy. Shirts are sold individually for $35 or two or more for $30 and can be purchased here.” This is one of three designs; best part is that all have “I yell because I care” (Forgione’s trademark) on the back.
••• Drybar set an opening date for its Tribeca location: Dec. 28.
••• Nothing against this particular one, but doesn’t Duane seem like a small, residential street for food trucks?

I am happy that someone provide the video, but could we have some general agreement that since most people do not orient their television or monitor in a vertical position, that videos be shot in LANDSCAPE mode please!
Sheeesh.
And don’t even try to blame the iPhone.
(just trying to make the world better, little by little)
@F1Mikal: I actually blame YouTube. Why can’t it accommodate portrait mode better?
