In the News: Downtown Community Center to Reopen

Downtown Community Center pool 122012••• From Manhattan Youth: “Our staff has been working tirelessly since the day after Hurricane Sandy dumped 20 feet of water into our beloved Community Center, and in just seven weeks, they have accomplished what might have taken seven months. Because of their efforts, it is our great pleasure to announce that our swimming pool, dance studio and Great Hall will reopen on January 2! There is still a LOT of work to do to rebuild the entire lower level of the community center, which was completely submerged in water, and we will be reaching out to our community for help in the days to come.” The photo was taken today.
