Seen & Heard: Rotunda for Sale

••• Apartment 11A at the American Thread Building (260 W. Broadway) has been listed for $10.5 million. It has a rotunda. With an oculus.

••• There was definitely some action happening inside the old Flor de Sol space today. I expect we’ll see a liquor-license application on CB1’s May agendas.

••• I came across this on the Landmarks Preservation Commission’s website about 32 Sixth Ave.: “Application is to establish a Master Plan to alter ground floor openings, and install storefront infill, marquees, and signage.” So I guess the grand old AT&T building at Walker, Lispenard, and Church is getting some storefronts. Might actually be nice.

••• Gabrielle reports that City Sports has opened a big store in the old Daffy’s at 50 Broadway in FiDi.

••• Photographer Margaret Dessau is leading a Jane’s Walk of Collister Street on May 4 and 5. The description includes this: “Discuss issues of gentrification & the pricing out of artists from a neighborhood that was made unique by their creative loft conversions and activities. Want to explore preservation of neighborhoods historic character & appropriate contextual development.”

••• Don’t forget: This is Thursday. A fun party with proceeds going to Seaport businesses.
