Seen & Heard: Mulberry & Vine

••• James sent over a photo of the Kon-Tiki replica now docked at North Cove Marina. There’s background here.

••• From J.: “Small fire in our building 84 W. Broadway at 3 a.m. last night apparently started at JR Sushi downstairs. Metallic smelling smoke in the building. Everyone let back in by 4:30 a.m. Big thanks to FDNY Ladder 10 and rest of crew who were there so quickly and Smyth Hotel staff who hosted everyone in their lobby lounge and handed out slippers to all barefoot tenants.” And then this: “Firemen said the fryolator was left on. This morning some charred equipment was on sidewalk but then taken away.”

••• The prepared-foods restaurant at 73 Warren will be called Mulberry & Vine, and it’s opening Thursday. Says founder Genevieve Lynch: “Our hours for the first few weeks are 11 – 7 Mon-Fri. We hope to open for breakfast and Saturdays soon.” Look, there’s a placeholder website.

••• A few tickets were released for the Woolworth Building lobby tours today. I just grabbed one; they’re $30. See woolworth100.com.

••• B.B. King and Los Lobos are among the acts playing the Lowdown Hudson Blues Festival at Brookfield Place on July 10 and 11.

••• Streets are being reopened after a suspicious package was seen on a bus at Worth and Church.
