••• Distilled NY (coming to where Centrico was) appears to be getting closer. There’s a logo painted on the window, blinds have been installed, and tables and chairs were stacked out on the loading dock.
••• Want a taste of Tribeca the way it used to be? Stop by the peony and pottery sale that Wickham Boyle is having on her building’s loading dock this Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. Click the image for details. Cash only.
••• Empire Asian Cuisine at 8 Murray is now called Agoda Asian; not sure if it’s new beyond the name (but I get the sense it’s under new ownership).
••• Shinola’s store/showroom (I can’t bear to type “showtique” without quotation marks) on Franklin Street is also moving forward.
••• Troy pointed out that the GNC that I think we knew was coming to Canal Street (although I can’t find the post about it) has opened. I suppose some will consider it better than another crappy souvenir store, but I think it’s one step from a 7-Eleven.
