Art That Is Good for the Soul

Element 6 Arts evolved out of a need to press the “pause button” on life and reconnect with our inner self. And so we created a sanctuary for a growing number of artists who we believe have the power to lift us out from the routine of daily living, reminding us of some of the higher aspects of our existence. We feature a short selection of works below; for more details please visit us at www.element6arts.com. (And read co-founder Sanjay Lamba’s TCQ&A here.)

Stargazer III by Juginder Lamba. In this powerful bronze, a lone figure breaks through the ceiling of modern existence in search of answers to some of the higher questions that perplex us (available ONLY until June 30th 2013).

Horse in the Celtic Sea by Robin Rice. As the day draws to a close, Robin captures a weary work horse being revitalized by a cleansing sprint through the water (available NOW in various sizes).

Man is the Sum of All Things Unfinished by Tra Bouscaren (Sold).

Untitled. Bouscaren’s explosive yet emotional works are presently sold out. Here we offer a rare glimpse of his next work-in-progress (contact EARLY if you have interest).

The Kidnapping of Modern Art by the New Yorkers by Russell Connor. The 83 year-old former Director of Education of the Whitney Museum delights with this playful combination of Rubens and Picasso, depicting the once-controversial theory that New York conspired to steal the centre of the modern art world from Paris.

Occupy II by Mikki Nylund. As the movement re-converges on Zuccotti Park, we are reminded of this piece which depicts events without judgement. It is for the viewer to decide what the deathly figure represents….

Mother and Child by Juginder Lamba. Two entities fused both spiritually and physically, almost as part of one whole (available ONLY until June 30th).
