••• Thanks to the reader who sent in a photo from this morning, showing workers installing the fence at the new dog run. Maybe that means it really will open Monday (if not sooner).
••• Friends of Washington Market Park rescheduled its tennis event: “Free children’s tennis clinic coming up Aug. 10 at Washington Market Park tennis court on Chambers.” Each session can handle 15 children, first come, first (pun!) served: 10 a.m. (ages 4-5 years), 11 a.m. (ages 6-7 years).
••• @NYCDowntownDiva says Jersey Mike’s sandwich shop opened today at 80 Maiden Lane.
••• I’m coining a new word: innurb. It’s the opposite of an exurb: Instead of being far away from an urban area, it’s embedded inside it.
••• My favorite Tribeca street artist, Robert Janz, is part of a group show at Woodward Gallery—but it closes tomorrow, so go now. Also: He’s doing a mural there this fall.
