••• Quietly added to the agenda for tomorrow (Thursday) night’s meeting of the Community Board 1 Landmarks Committee: “443 Greenwich Street, application for approval of rooftop addition, replacement of windows and storefront infill.” That’s the major conversion on Greenwich between Debrosses and Vestry. A reader sent in the above photo, presumably constructed to give the committee (and the Landmarks Preservation Commission) a sense of what’s being presented; if what’s orange is “one floor” (which the developer is allowed to add as of right), sparks will fly.
••• The Elena Ab Gallery on Church has a 9/11 shrine outside; a passerby said that a show of the 9/11 tiles opens there tonight.
••• Silver Lining’s last night is tomorrow; Ethan Lipton and His Orchestra will perform at 8 p.m.: “Please join us for a special closing night show at our favorite joint. There will be a cash bar. There will be no cover price, no food service, and no late entry (doors open at 7 p.m.). Your password to enter is ‘Everybody Else Should Too.'”
••• Also tomorrow, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., By Joy Gryson celebrates its one-year anniversary with a party. Get 20% off the fall lines.
••• Luis of the FiDi Fan Page says that Alfanoose is opening at 64 Fulton, not 150 as previously reported. I think I’ll take his bet about Abercrombie & Fitch—I can’t see why the brand would want or need stores at the Seaport and the World Trade Center mall.
••• This Saturday’s block party at Shinola has a bunch of stuff for kids, I found out today—including a bean-bag toss, hopscotch, balloons, kid-friendly food, and a performance by the Sleepy Man Banjo Boys at 1:30 p.m., who really are boys. Watch the video.
••• Yesterday, I daydreamed about how nice it would be if artist Raymond Pettibon—who lives in the Gehry building—had any artworks of his Brussels griffon, Boo. It turns out that Ray (as I now think of him) and Aida Ruilova read this site! The two artworks below are in the David Zwirner show opening tomorrow!
