••• The Tribeca Trib tracked down what seems like the source of the criminal court rumor: “Jon McGowan, a clerk who works for a state Supreme Court judge, may have sparked the concern with an email he sent out on Monday about a “hot rumor” among the court officers and ‘a couple of judges’ at 71 Thomas Street. ‘This move will occur October 2014. The civil Supreme Court staff, it is rumored, will move to 111 Centre Street,’ he wrote.”

••• “How Tribeca Became NYC’s $50 Million Neighborhood” announces a New York Post headline, but there’s very little “how” and a lot of running down the recent new developments.

••• The New York Times includes Tribeca Grill in its list of best restaurants for wine—oddly, Eric Asimov seems surprised by the wine list’s depth, when that’s really what the place is known for at this point.

••• “Space on White, which rents artists’ studios, rehearsal and performance spaces at its 81 White St. location, said Tuesday that it will cease to operate at the end of the month. It will instead rent its space, the equivalent of four studios, to a tenant who had previously occupied just one: Jemz, which offers classes in sewing, arts and crafts.” —Wall Street Journal

••• The New York Times reviews the Elm, ex-Corton chef Paul Liebrandt’s new place in Williamsburg. Has anyone been? I want to try it but I keep forgetting about it.

••• In an article about the removal of the Vesey Street pedestrian bridge, the Broadsheet says that Brookfield Place’s new glass cube entrance along West will open next month.
