••• Opening for dinner on Thursday: China Blue, the much-anticipated Chinese restaurant in the former Capsouto Frères space. (And everyone saves 20% this Thursday and Friday.) Lunch starts Monday, Dec. 16.
••• Good news: Dylan Prime reopens on Dec. 18. I’ll get you a preview of the room (and the menu, I hope) before then….
••• I popped into Broadway Spirits, the new liquor store at 315 Broadway (Thomas-ish), after Adam told me that he was impressed by some of what it stocked—Carpano Antica, certain Italian wines—and getting the sense its prices are low. The atmosphere is bare bones, and the sales clerk was so intent on helping me that I fear I was rude when I insisted that he leave me alone, but a big bottle of Tanqueray —I love the color of the bottle—was $43.99, versus $48.99 at City Hall Wines & Spirits on Chambers. That’s only one benchmark, but still….
