••• The NYC Department of Sanitation garage under construction at West and Spring is nearly done being glassed.
••• Canal Room has closed and work has begun on Haus, the lounge/nightclub replacing it.
••• The folks at 8 Jay (at Staple) nixed having a Bikram yoga studio as a ground-floor tenant, because of the heat, and the space is still on the market.
••• Soho Photo’s annual show of Krappy Kamera contest winners opens Feb. 4.
••• The plywood is off at 279 Church—future site of Baked bakery—and it looks very nice indeed! (For a before pic, click here.)
