“Black Seed, the old-school wood-fired collaboration between the Smile’s Matt Kliegman and Mile End’s Noah Bernamoff,” will be opening a kiosk in Brookfield Place, says Grub Street. (Media reps for Brookfield Place—whom I look forward to hearing from someday!—also say the food court opens May 10.) Grub Street thinks this is bad news for Zucker’s, and it may be, but it’s safe to say that Pick A Bagel, across the street on Goldman Alley, is the real competitive target here.
