••• The Dusty Rebel visited Tribeca artist Robert Janz‘s studio, in advance of his show at Folioleaf, a Dumbo gallery opened by Todd Masters, formerly of Masters & Pelavin on Jay. “I asked Janz if he always draws on the back of his work and he said, ‘Anyone can write my name.'”
••• Marc Forgione’s cookbook comes out today. I don’t know when I’ll get around to cooking from it, but I will! I did thoroughly enjoy reading the introduction—it’s the roller-coaster tale of the restaurant’s beginnings—and any fan of his cooking should check out the book. Publisher’s Weekly gave it a starred review.
