Thanks to Chris for the heads up that Libra Leather has opened a three-month pop-up at 72 Franklin (at Franklin Place, between Church and Broadway). Mitch Alfus, a.k.a. “the Leather King,” has been sourcing skins from tanneries all around the world since 1972. The company has a showroom on West 30th St., but that’s mainly to the trade. So, for your holiday shopping enjoyment: A pop-up shop, with clothing, pillows, bags, and much more. It’s open seven days a week.
