••• The New York Times shopping critic visits the Boris Bidjan Saberi boutique at 494 Greenwich (just above Canal): “Mr. Saberi makes ornately detailed, strikingly proportioned leather jackets that exude a nomad warrior confidence. The leather is meaty but supple. The stitching is homespun but executed with industrial rigor.” And the designer is said to break in every jacket himself by wearing it when it’s wet.
