••• Racines NY kicks off weekday lunch on Oct. 20. When the menu is available I’ll post it.
••• Fulton Center is getting a popcorn store called Pop Karma, as noticed by M.M. De Voe of Pen Parentis; the first one is on Orchard Street. Also onboard, as we’ve learned over the past few months: Shake Shack, Irving Farm Coffee Roasters, Freedom Wine Cellar, the Men’s Bar, Zaro’s Bakery, and the Christian Science Reading Room (in the Corbin Building).
••• Public Factory opened inside the Soho Grand. I was running late for a meeting so I didn’t go in. From Racked: “Yazid Aksas is coming to the rescue of young New York labels, including his own. The founder of Beau.com, a custom men’s clothing brand that runs on user requests, is setting up a shared retail space for emerging designers called Public Factory.” It’s all menswear.
••• A “smoke shop and vape store” is opening at 383 Canal.
••• The TV show “Gotham” is shooting in the Warren/Church area tomorrow (Friday).
