••• The “MOVE!” hootenanny at Brookfield Place this weekend sounds pretty interesting. Racked has the details, which had been scarce up to now:
Highlights include a collaboration between artist Rob Pruitt and Proenza Schouler allowing you to live out runway fantasies via green screen—it results in a video of you “walking” down Proenza Schouler’s epic fall 2015 runway show. A gender-morphing beauty makeover project named Crossover [is] helmed by make-up artist James Kaliardo (responsible for Rodarte and Louis Vuitton’s make-up looks) [….] And a quick stop into the Diane von Furstenberg store allows you the chance to try on her iconic wrap dress, have your photo taken and then have the image printed on a dress. Inception-level wrap dresses and other artist-curated projects will be available, ranging from red-carpet sashays with male models and carnival style paint games from designer Cynthia Rowley.
••• Have thoughts about Pier 26? Your lucky day is October 19.
••• Coming up at Barnes & Noble Tribeca: Jason Segel on Oct. 5, Colum McCann on Oct. 13 and Yotam Ottolenghi on Oct. 23. (No point in identifying who each one is—if you don’t know, you’re not going.)
••• From TriBeCa Native founder Nicole Bartelme: “We’re having a benefit book launch on Oct. 21 at Bouley Botanical. Author Marisa Marchetto is a great friend, and believes in mom and pop local business.” Marchetto’s new book is a graphic novel, Ann Tenna.
••• Another look at the Park Place side of 19 Park Place, along with two renderings.
