••• Susan Rosenberg Jones snapped a pic inside Best Market.
••• The word on Murray Street is that Gunbae is reportedly going before CB1 Tribeca to ask for 4 a.m. closing, which would be unheard of for a new restaurant on a side street.
••• “On Saturday, January 30, Schimmel Center at Pace University will host Sing-a-long-a Grease after a wildly successful run in the fall of 2014. Audiences will sing along to the great movie musical, complete with on-screen lyrics and the chance to become a T-Bird or Pink Lady for the night and enter the costume competition. The performance starts with a Sing-a-long-a host who warms up the audience, trains them how to “hand-jive”, deploy the contents of their free magic moments fun packs and heckle in all the right places as well as judge the costume competition.” Also: “Fox will premiere a live adaptation of Grease starring Julianne Hough and Aaron Tveit the next evening.” Tickets are $25.
••• There’s signage at 375 Hudson (Houston/King) for a huge new Juice Press and a new Le Pain Quotidien. That stretch has really turned into a food court—fine for workers looking for lunch but once residential development amps up, they’re going to need more spots for dinner.
••• An amusing pic from Andrea:
••• The former Aloha Rag store at 505 Greenwich (Spring/Canal) got new “for rent” signage—it refers to it as a “restaurant space,” which is odd because to my knowledge it’s never been a restaurant, so it’s presumably not vented.

FYI: The Juice Press at 375 Hudson opened Tuesday. No salad bar, though it has an “oatmeal bar”. Pain Quot. still not open.
