April 1, 2016 Restaurant/Bar News
Well, it’s not exactly Bar Primi—or even a full-service restaurant. But at least Broadway is getting another place to eat: Wichcraft has filed a beer-and-wine-license application with Community Board 1 for 325 Broadway, at the corner of Worth. (I’ll post the agendas soon.) Unless it’s taking over the saddest Burger King around, the only storefront open right now is the former Steps clothing store. I really liked Wichcraft when it opened, and I’m still fond of the BLT (and admire the brand for refusing to use off-season tomatoes), but I can’t shake the feeling that quality at the Greenwich Street location has declined over the years. Let’s hope this location augurs a fresh start.
Now can someone please open a sit-down restaurant in that area?

The Greenwich St branch is sad–extremely slow and crabby service. No one seems to care about the cleanliness of the seating area–tables are frequently just left unwiped because…why not?
Morgan’s market has the best BLT around!
