••• 60 White, finally coming out from under its shroud, is looking sublime.
••• Signage has gone up at Target. There’s more info on the store here.
••• And Bar Works has put up signage on the back half of 380 Broadway/70 White. Initially, the coworking space-with-bar said it was taking the whole building, and then just the whole first floor. Also, unless I’m mistaken, there’s no liquor license yet—and neighbors in that area will not exactly be thrilled about this location.
••• I’ll say it again: What’s the point of shoot flyers if the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment is going to allow productions to list the name as “Untitled“? This one is for a shoot in the Church/Walker area today and tomorrow, and of course the flyers went up far less than 24 hours in advance. (The barista at La Colombe said it was for “Miami Vice: New York Vice,” which was just plausible enough that I had to confirm that he was joking.)
••• I hope the Alice in Wonderland mural is coming back! I don’t walk down that block of Chambers often; the mural may have been gone for a long time.
••• This handy map of the World Trade Center PATH station show how PATH riders now enter/exit via the north side of the Oculus.
••• Last Tuesday night’s meeting of the Community Board 1 Seaport/Civic Center Committee included what I had hoped would be a presentation about the new tower going up at 23 Park Row, but the rep had no renderings or other materials yet, and was only there to answer questions. What we learned: They’re going to break ground by early next year; the design is “shifting around” but will still be by CookFox; it’ll be “pre-cast” (concrete) and not another glass tower; the height will be 650-700 feet, which is around 55 stories; it’ll be condos with retail on the ground floor. While he was explaining (over and over, because CB1 members don’t listen) exactly which lot this is, he said about 1 Park Row, the former J&R headquarters at the corner of Ann: “Nothing’s happening to that right now.” Emphasis mine.

Why does the West Concorse not connect to the oculus?
