Yoga Vida strives to be accessible—and not just in price (although at $110 per month for a membership with unlimited yoga, it certainly is). “We don’t overwhelm you with oms and chants,” promises Mike Patton, who cofounded the company with Hilaria Baldwin in 2009. “Eventually, it can get more spiritual if you want it to be.”

The fourth Yoga Vida location is now open at 416 Washington, in the space that was most recently South of Market (but which you may know better as Vestry Wines). The entrance is on Vestry, and the studio itself, just off street level, is big and beautifully lit, with room for 50 students. Class variations include pre- and post-natal, restorative, and heated by infrared light.
