In the News: Ichimura Restaurant to Open This Week

••• Ichimura, the sushi restaurant from former Brushstroke sushi chef Eiji Ichimura, opens Thursday. It’s “a 10-seat brown quartz counter for $300 (including tip) tasting menus, which will change daily.” —New York Times

••• When Governors Island opens for the season (earlier than usual, on May 1), it’ll have a restaurant called Island Oyster. “Described as an outdoor concession serving sustainable seafood in a beer garden setting, it will be run by the brothers Miles and Alex Pincus, who own Grand Banks.” —New York Times
