Seen & Heard: Anthropologie Opens This Week

••• Frankly Wines has reopened after a change of ownership and a refurbishment.

••• Yorganic on Greenwich Street has closed for a renovation.

••• There’s a big “LOVE” sign on top of the James hotel in Soho. Here’s more about it from Untapped Cities. Strikes me as not the most original idea….

••• The reader known as Hudson River reports that the Solstice sunglasses store has opened at the World Trade Center mall. (It’s in the corridor that leads to Brookfield Place.) And Nobletree coffee, in the hallway leading to 4 World Trade Center, is getting close.

••• And the mezzanine-level Starbucks on the north side of the World Trade Center Oculus looks close to opening.

••• The new 20,000-square-foot Anthropologie store at 195 Broadway opens this Friday, April 7.

••• Khe-Yo posted a nice sign about its plans for sidewalk seating.

••• I went to see Tift Merritt at City Winery the other night. She was terrific, as expected, even if part of me wishes she’d go for more of a Dusty in Memphis sound (like in the video below). I had chosen bar stools in the very back, by the window, so we could stand if necessary. That part worked fine, but the noise from the adjacent Barrel Room was so loud as to be distracting. Here’s hoping the venue improves the insulation.
