••• “Looks like something is going on at Dylan Prime,” notes E. of the space at the northeast corner of Greenwich and Laight. “Lights are on and the space is being cleaned out. Haven’t seen anything in there for years.” My gut says that the space needs to be divided into two to be viable, and sure enough, E. said that the activity was in the former dining room (rather than the bar on the corner). Anyone know anything? Also below: I was amused by Google’s categorization of the former restaurant.
••• Kids can now take parkour classes on Walker Street.
••• From Giorgia: “We are partnering with Free The Girls, an organization helping rescued girls of sexual trafficking live a life of freedom. Your donation allows the girls to earn a safe income by selling the bras in second-hand marketplaces. We encourage you to donate your gently-used bra, and in exchange you’ll receive 10% towards a new one.”
••• The sales office for 91 Leonard looks ready to open at 75 Leonard, if it hasn’t already. That’s the building that fronts Broadway (between Franklin and Leonard), with a long dog-leg hallway entrance on Leonard (that’s it below—is it wide enough for two double-wide strollers?). Also, we still only have one semi-decent rendering of the building.
••• Peck Slip seems to be endangered of being meetinged to death. Build the park!
••• The BMCC pool isn’t ready yet after all: “Looks like the opening of BMCC pool is delayed again,” commented AW. “Just got an email saying that ‘they have found a small leak’ and they are hoping we can use the pool in October.”
