While walking through Brookfield Place, I passed a store directory that looked new—the wrinkles in the paper were still visible. So I stopped to see if there was any word about what might be opening in the vacant spaces. The directory mentioned a few we already knew about: Eyeglass company Oliver Peoples in the Winter Garden; the 7,000-square-foot Sant Ambroeus restaurant on West Street; and Suitsupply and (the women’s spinoff) Suistudio in the non–Winter Garden pavilion. And then there were two we didn’t know about: Fuku, the Momofuku fast-food chain, in Hudson Eats; and Untuckit, maker of shirts you don’t tuck in, which must be upstairs in the non–Winter Garden, next to Club Monaco’s men’s store.
