Thanks to C. for the heads-up that The Craft Studio is opening at 174 Duane (where Mondo Cane was before it moved to Lispenard and changed its name to Patrick Parrish). Founded in 1994 on the Upper East Side, the Craft Studio was purchased by current owner Lindsey Peers in 2009. “Our mission is to provide a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where kids and adults alike are free to be creative!” says the website. Class options include Toddler Art, Tween Drop-Off. Mom’s Night Out, and the Coolest Craft Class Ever. More when it opens, which should be by the end of the month.
UPDATE: It’s actually a two-and-a-half-month pop-up.
Fun!
I wonder if The Craft Studio would like donations of craft materials. I have various supplies to offer.
Hi Jane, if it falls through with Craft Studio, I would be happy to take the craft supplies off your hands and take it to a non profit preschool in Chinatown.
