••• Taste of Tribeca tickets are now on sale, and they’re $10 cheaper if you buy them before May 18. (The event is on May 19.)
••• A. noticed this in the window of Tabak Is Tribeca, so it appears Macaron Café may not be long for Greenwich Street (assuming it’s still there—I’m out of town).
••• “One of these new restaurant spots is likely Wagyumafia, which is making its first U.S. location in the area,” commented Rudy about 112 Hudson or 20 Warren. “This was the absolute best steak that I have ever eaten. Melts in your mouth like butter.” The crumbs of info I found about 20 Warren didn’t match up with Wagyumafia, but it’s certainly possible. (And of course several other storefronts are being worked on these days.) There’s more on Wagyumafia here.
••• James reports that “for rent” signs are up at Haus nightclub (285 W. Broadway).
••• You know how fashion shoots are always happening in the neighborhood? Live the dream and be a model! From an Airbnb listing (the company offers “experiences” as well as lodging) for a “Styled Photo Shoot Session in Tribeca!”:
We’re Ashley and Krity, a professional photographer and stylist team based in NYC! What better way to remember your trip to NYC than with a set of beautifully created photos of you while you’re exploring one of New York’s best neighborhoods? […] We’ll help you decide what to wear before the shoot and teach you what clothing and colors will photograph well based on your style! During the shoot, we will give you an insight on how to pose, which camera angles work best for you, and tips on what to look for when choosing an exact location for a shoot.
••• Opening March 7 at Hal Bromm Gallery: Photo Show, featuring many famous photographers. Below: A detail from “Marilyn Monroe: The Last Sitting” by Bert Stern.

It’s a shock to me that Macaron Cafe has lasted as long as it has in that space.
Macaron was great when Nora ran the place! It will be missed.
Nora was the best. the owners essentially lost the cafe when they lost her.
Thank you Tribeca Citizen for featuring our
“Styled Photo Shoot Session in Tribeca!”
Krity and I are super excited about doing this photo shoot experience with Airbnb and shooting with everyone! :)
