••• It appears that Hot Bread Kitchen is no longer coming to the Tribeca Greenmarket on Saturdays.
••• I hear that Frenchette could open as soon as Sunday or Monday. A sign on the door yesterday said it was closed for a private event, which I assume means it’s in friends-and-family mode. UPDATE: I just heard from the restaurant. They’re shooting for next week, but it’s not a done deal just yet.
••• The mystery deepens at 88 W. Broadway, where Wicked Juice & Kitchen was: A sign for “New York Chimney Cakes” is hanging inside. A chimney cake (kürtőskalács) is a hollow, cylindrical Hungarian pastry filled with cream, Nutella, or the like.
••• Adam and I went to see Love, Simon yesterday—cute, well-made movie—at the Regal Battery Park cineplex. I hadn’t been there in a year, and maybe it’s been this way for a while, but when the ticket taker/scanner tells you which theater, pay attention: The interior marquees don’t name the film, likely to make it harder for people to sneak into a second show. (Those reclining seats are so nice. I think I saw every Oscar contender at the Regal Union Square, and don’t get me started about much I hate that place!)
••• A store called Origins opens this Saturday at 406 Broadway. It seems to sell the same kind of streetwear as the former tenant, Transit.

Any contact information for Frenchette to make reservations yet?
The website is frenchettenyc.com, but it’s not live yet. I’d wager they’re not taking reservations until they’re 100% sure they’re ready to open.
Any word on the seafood vendor at the Tribeca Greenmarket? They haven’t been there for a few weeks; not sure if it’s just a seasonal thing, vacation, or more permanent. Thanks!
Blue Moon Fish is seasonal. American Pride Seafood is there in the winter, but if it isn’t around maybe its season ended….

I heard Blue Moon will be back this Sat, March 31st. Hope it’s true we’ve really missed their fish!
Blue Moon is the best. We have enjoying their fresh fish and great service for many, many years.
Alex spends winters in the Florida Keys—nice work if you can get it! Glad to hear they may be back this Saturday—they’re the best.
We love Blue Moon, they are the best, but they usually send an email ahead reminding one and all when they are returning and they didn’t this year so we are all kinda panicking. So thanks for the update. I was going to be there anyway for Jerry (Nadler).
Now I can buy some fresh fish! YAY
